Consider this... Have you ever went grocery shopping while hungry? Learned people everywhere know this is a bad idea because when you enter the grocery store hungry, every thing looks tempting. You reach and grab for things based on the innate desire to fulfill that need of hunger in your body. Jesus said in Matthew 4:4 "It is written that men should not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the lord." When you go out into the world, hungry for spiritual things, for a closeness with something, you are likely to grab on to any junk you find along the way. This is why it is important to feed yourself every day before you go out into the world. Feed yourself the words of the Lord, and let his words fill your spiritual needs so that you may not just grab on to anything, you will be filled with the spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, and you will seek only more of that good spiritual food, not the junk that is swirling around in the world today.
There will be a lesson on this, as soon as it is properly formulated, but for now, just consider that thought..
